Epiphany - Epiphany, (from Greek epiphaneia, “manifestation”), Christian holiday commemorating the first manifestation of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, represented by the Magi, and the manifestation of his divinity, as it occurred at his baptism in the Jordan River and at his first miracle, at Cana in Galilee. Epiphany is one of the three principal and oldest festival days of the Christian church (the other two are Easter and Christmas). Roman Catholics, Lutherans, Anglicans, and other Western churches observe the feast on January 6, while some Eastern Orthodox churches celebrate Theophany on January 19, since their Christmas Eve falls on January 6. -Encyclopedia Britannica

Armenian Apostolic Christmas - Armenian Christmas, celebrated on January 6th, holds a unique place in the liturgical calendar and Armenian cultural traditions. For Armenians around the world, this day is not only about commemorating the birth of Christ but also celebrating the Epiphany—the revelation of Jesus as the Son of God—a practice rooted in the earliest days of Christianity.
The Armenian Apostolic Church, following ancient Christian tradition, celebrates Christmas and the Epiphany together on January 6th. This date was historically observed by all Christians before the Western Church adopted December 25th in the 4th century. The choice to maintain January 6th reflects the Armenian Church’s commitment to preserving early Christian practices. -Armenian-History.com

Orthodox Christmas - Orthodox Christmas Day is observed by Eastern Orthodox Christians as a religious feast commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ according to the Julian calendar. It falls on January 7. This date differs from the December 25th celebration used by Western denominations because many Orthodox churches continue to follow an older calendar system that currently runs thirteen days behind the Gregorian calendar. The origins of this holiday date back to the early centuries of the Christian Church. For over a thousand years, all of Christendom followed the Julian calendar, which was introduced by Julius Caesar in 46 B.C. However, this calendar had a slight mathematical error that caused it to drift away from the solar year over time. In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII introduced the Gregorian calendar to correct this discrepancy, but Eastern Orthodox churches maintained the original Julian system to preserve their liturgical traditions and theological independence.
